Travis Kelce fought a “great illness” before his Super Bowl defeat.
Brett Veach, 47, head of Kelce’s team, Kansas City Chiefs, talked about the issues facing the narrow end at the end of the game in an upcoming episode of NFL Podcast, The insider.
He noted that he did not “make excuses” for Chief’s loss and said Kelce “struggled with a pretty big illness” before Super Bowl, which took place on February 9 in New Orleans.
He then said that Kelce’s disease did not make a big difference to the point when Eagles-that won 40-22-played so well. “We didn’t have the end of our season that we hoped for,” he added.
Vika led the loss, admitted that the managers had “chosen a bad day to have a bad day.” But he said the team would use the experience as “motivation to get better.”
“You learn more from your losses than your winnings,” added Veach.
