The technical website The information reported that a representative office was so flooded with calls that the staff had no choice but to turn off the phones.
Tictok’s warning was a reference to a bill It is currently being prepared in the House of Representatives.

Otherwise, Tiktok could be banned from app stores in the United States. The service claims to have 170 million users in the United States.
Some politicians have expressed concern that the app could be abused by Chinese authorities to gather information about users. Governments in several countries, including the United States, have banned the use of tictoc on government phones.
TikTok rejects concern and emphasizes that it does not see itself as a subsidiary of a Chinese company. Bythadance owns 60% of Western investors. The company is based on the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean.
Critics oppose that the Chinese founders with a part of 20%have control due to higher voting rights and that bythable has a large headquarters in Beijing.
During his term as president, Donald Trump Tried to enforce the sale of Tictoc’s US operations to US investors by threatening to ban it. The plan failed because the US courts decided that a TikTok ban violated freedom of expression in the US constitution.
