A woman in Florida has been arrested after claiming shot a female passenger who went in a car driven by her ex-boyfriend. The couple had recently divided, according to reports.
Latorray Collins, 38, was placed in custody with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Sunday 16 February where she will remain from Wednesday, February 19.
According to Inmate Records, Collins has been accused of attempted murder in the second degree.
With reference to an arrest certificate from Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Miami Herald Reported that Collin’s ex-boyfriend told the police that he had broken up with her just days before.
Collins ex-boyfriend told the authorities that he was in an intimate relationship with the shooting victim, First Coast News reported.
Family members identified 42-year-old latasha taylor as victims of Action News Jax.
On the day of the incident, Collins was alleged and texted his ex’s phone repeated Miami Herald Reports.
The ex-boyfriend had been allegedly driving Taylor’s car on Saturday, February 15 when Collins started calling him again. Instead of responding, he reportedly stopped in a liquor store with Taylor and some of her family members before heading to another place.

When the group drove in separate cars, Collins was reportedly captured to its ex at a red light and pulled his vehicle in front of Taylor’s.
Ex kept alleged and drove around Collins car, but she could catch them again at another stop light, Herald reported, with reference to the police.
Collins left his vehicle and started knocking on Taylor’s car window and got Taylor to ask Collins who she was. An oral confrontation followed.
Collins ex told police he heard a “loud noise” before Taylor fell to the ground. A .380 caliber shell was recycled from the stage, Per Herald.
Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to people’s request for comment.
The victim’s spouse, Tony Taylor, also spoke with Action News Jaxsays the couple prepared to spend the 15th anniversary together before Latasha is shot in the head.
“She met me as I went through a tough time in my life. She showed me how much she cares about people. I was at Rock Bottom, and she saved my life, ”Tony said in an interview.
“The shooter argued with a male who was in the car. My wife came out to try to spread the situation and just leave and that was when the girl shot her, ”Tony continued.
Latasha’s family said she is making progress.
“She wouldn’t make it past Saturday, but she is still doing for us,” Tony told the news station.
Collins is waiting for trial and is due to Duval County Courthouse on March 11.
