On Sunday September 21, 2014, Curl finally saw the band perform live on theirs where we are a tour stop at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, with his family. She says they sat in the first line and during the entire show Wanked Styles, 31, on them a few times, which made their concert experience a “dream”.

Then something fantastic happened. During the last song of the night, “Best song ever,” says Curl Styles went and picked up a towel and went right to her. “He threw it directly at me and my sister, and we were both freaking out, together with our parents,” Curl says. “It seemed like he really wanted to make sure we liked the show, which we were sure to do it.”

“It felt so surreal when it dropped that it had actually happened,” adds the college student. “It may seem so stupid to some people, but even something as small as a towel can have sentimental value.”

Immediately after the concert, the curl put the towel in a bag to keep it safe. A few years later, she decided that she wanted it on the screen in her room, so she got it hanging over her shoulder on a cardboard box she had of styles at that time. Eventually she moved home and decided that she would store it safely again in fear that something could happen to it.

She currently keeps the towel in a compartment with all her other merch. “I would like to keep it protected and in good condition,” she says. “I have to say that the towel is definitely the rare merch article I have of everything in there.”

Since then, the towel has stayed in the bag, until recently, when she thought she would take it out for a few seconds to get a good view of it. When she looked at the towel, she couldn’t help but think about how this year marks 11 years since that concert. The moment inspired her to share the story on Tiktok.

She took a video of the towel and published it. Then it went viral and collected more than 460,000 views and 500 comments.

“I never thought so many people would see it or think it’s interesting, so I was definitely surprised to see,” she says. “In fact, there were many comments from people who say they also captured towels or water bottles on a one directing show back during the day, and that they still have them too. I saw some comments playfully suggested that I lock my doors, which made me laugh.”

“I hope my experience can show people that Harry is one of the artists who is very kind and generous to his fans, and one of the ways he shows it is by interacting with people in the crowd at his exhibitions,” she continues.

Curl adds how if she ever got to meet styles, she already knows what to say to him. “I would love to get a chance to thank him for always creating such a safe space for his fans,” she says. “He has positively affected so many people just by being himself.”

She adds, “I would also like to ask him what made him want to throw the towel at us, and also what his favorite part of the tournament is.”
