A woman’s love life took an unexpected turn, but now she says she is afraid of being injured.
The 55-year-old woman wrote on Britain’s based forum mumnet That she recently joins an ex, named Mark, after 36 years. The couple dated when they were 17 and were later engaged.
“We had a great connection, it was mutually respectful and the physical relationship was great,” she wrote about herself and land and then explained that life happened.
“I had dropped my dad just before we met, I did not continue with my mother, so I left home and lived in (college) while I was studying. Mark was in the forces, and after a year and a half of being stationed near me, (he) was published in Central America,” continued the woman. “I felt so lost when he went. I had friends, but missed him so much. We were engaged. I believe with loss of my fatherI just couldn’t bear to be so sorry that Mark was gone. ”
Her friends encouraged her to be single while Mark was gone, and the woman explained that she decided to end her relationship by writing him a letter. But then, “a few months later,” she and Mark “bumped into each other.”
“It was very poignant. We hugged, he gave me a kiss on the cheek and we wished each other future happiness,” the woman wrote.
“Fast forward 36 years,” the woman said that Mark appeared in the “People you may know” on her Facebook and she “sent a brief message as a blast from the past.”
But she said she “panicked and blocked him”, but “a week later, I blocked him, and we started talking.”
Four months later, the woman continued to explain that she and marks “text several times every day and has telephone calls and facetime several times a week.” She added that they both have feelings for each other but have not gone as far as to say “I love you” or “something similar.”

Now the woman said she and Mark arranged to meet in person. Her past love, she detailed, lives “somewhere else in Europe” and flies to where she lives specifically to meet her in a cafe to catch up.
“I am completely terrified. I do not know how I will feel when I see him personally, or how he will feel,” wrote the woman and ends, “I feel that this meeting will be to do or break. After four relationships since then, all abusive or not fulfilling, I do not trust men. ”

In the comment episode, many Mumsnet users shared positive messages and encouraged the woman before the meeting.
“I joined again with someone I used to go out with. We hadn’t seen each other in over 30 years, but were Facebook friends for a few years. We have been together for almost 3 years and (is) marry soon, so you never know, it could work,” wrote a person.

Others advised the woman to take some pressure and just treat their reunion like meeting an old friend.
“None of you are the same teenagers as you were then. You had a romantic connection – but it was in another life. If something was to train between you two – you have to get to know the adult versions of each other,” one user said.
“I guess you both are singles? If so, what’s the worst thing that can happen … go and have fun,” added another commentator.
