The best -selling author Ba Paris asks that in her upcoming suspense novel, When I kill youarrives at bookshelves on February 17, 2026. Before the publication, people can reveal the book’s cover exclusively. The upcoming book focuses on the story of Nell Masters, who think someone is following her.

“The hair on the back of her neck rises as she travels to and from work, there are silent calls to her office and a huge bouquet of flowers arrive without a card,” teases an official synopsis.

As it turns out, Nell has a reason to look over the shoulder. She has a secret that she hid for everyone in her life, including her new partner Alex, who also holds some things to herself.

“Fourteen years earlier, when Nell went by the name Elle Nugent, she witnessed a student, Bryony Sanders, entered a stranger’s car,” Synopsis continues. “When Bryony was found murdered, Elle became obsessed with finding the responsible person.”

When Elle was fixed with wide parks, the man she accused of the crime, it led her down a “dangerous path.”

“Now Nell is trying to convince himself that this unnecessary feeling of being seen is everything in her mind,” synopsis adds. “Has anyone from her past discovered their new identity? Has the Stalker become the persecuted? Or is it something even more deadly to play?”

And in its latest novel, the subject is more than just pages in a book for Paris.

“This book is extremely important to me because a few years ago my daughter witnessed a young woman who entered a stranger’s car and called the police,” she tells people in an exclusive statement.

“Not knowing what happened to the young woman playing on my daughter’s mind and I promised to use her experience as a basis for a novel,” she continues. “I have a lot of empathy for Nell, my protagonist, who acts in good faith but is in a lot of problems and I can’t wait to share her story with my readers.”
