At least three people have died in Bangkok, Thailand, after an earthquake of 7.7-Magnitude beat his neighboring country Myanmar on Friday 28 March.
US Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed The earthquake had hit 16 km (just under 10 miles) northwest of Saga City, by a second 6.4 Earthquake To beat 18 km (about 11 miles) south of the city about 12 minutes later, according to the authority’s website. Both had a depth of 10 km (about 6.2 miles).

Fifty people were considered to have been in an unfinished building on 30 floors near Chatuchak Park when it collapsed, with 43 construction workers still missing, BBC reported, with reference to Thai authorities.
The Associated Press Quoted Thailand’s defense minister who says three people have been confirmed dead in the building’s collapse and that another 90 people are missing.
Video films and photos shared by the BBC showed cracked roads and buildings that had been damaged in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw, as well as water spilled out on the street from a roof pool at a high -rise building in Bangkok.

Myanmar is in the middle of an ongoing civil war, and stores including the BBC said it was difficult to access information from the country. The publication added that the military junta that ruled the country since 2021 had declared an emergency in the regions of Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Easter Shan State and Naypyidaw, with reference to local media reports.
Per one Thai government X postThe country’s police chief has ordered “nationwide help.” It added that officers had “evacuated people from uncertain buildings, helped victims and handled traffic”, and added that “police hospital is in standby for emergency situations.”
Fraser Morton, a tourist from Scotland, shopping in a shopping center when he said: “Suddenly the entire building began to move,” according to AP.
“Immediately it was screaming and very panic,” Morton added to the news agency. “I just started to go quiet at first but then the building really started to move, yes, very screaming, very panic, people who drove the wrong way down the escalators, lots of hitting and crashing inside the shopping center.”
“I came outside and then looked up at the building and the whole building moved, dust and debris, it was quite intense,” the tourist continued. “Lots of chaos.”

Paul Vincent, who visited from England, said he saw water fall from the roof pool in the city, told AP: “When I saw the building, oh my God, it was when … it struck me. There were people who cried on the streets and, you know, the panic was really horrible.”
Chiang Mai residents SAI, 76, worked on a minimum species when the earthquake hit. “I quickly rushed out of the store along with other customers,” he told Bangkok Post. “This is the strongest tremor I have experienced in my life.”
