‘That man loves me so much’

Meghan Markle opens up about their marriage to Prince Harry.

Duchess of Sussex, 43, showed up Jamie Kern Lima -ShowA podcast hosted by the founder of IT Cosmetics, on Monday 28 April. While he was there, praised Meghan Prince Harry, 40, and opened about life with their two children: Prince Archie, 5, and Princess LiliBet, 3.

“It’s not something to be taken for granted when you have a partner, a spouse, who is just so behind you,” she said. “H, that man loves me so much. See what we have built? We have a beautiful life, we have two healthy children.”

She went on to make an analogy of their relationship. “I always think about it as the end of Super Mario Bros. When you get to the last last level and say, “Beat the dragon, save the princess.” I’m like, it’s my husband, ”said the Duke of Sussex.

“He will constantly do what he can to make sure our family is safe and protected, and we are uplifted and still takes time for date nights.”

Meghan’s comparison of their relationship with the Nintendo game comes five years after the couple step back from their royal tasks 2020 and moved to Meghan’s native California.

Since then, Prince Harry has focused on his philanthropic efforts, including a meeting with California’s firefighters fighting against Pacific Palisades and Altadena fire fires in January 2025. Prince Harry returned for the second year in a row to Living Legends of Aviation CeremonyHeld at Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday 25 April to honor the fire brigade.

“Last January, when fires swept through over 50 square miles by Los Angeles County – threatening homes, companies, communities – we saw that spirit in action. We saw courage. And we saw an extraordinary group of men and women to get to heaven and also risked their lives to protect people they would never meet,” said the huksex.

He continued, “It has reminded us that in a world full of noise there are still silent heroes among us- steady, capable and brave.”
