“But for me,” he continued, “it also steals the memory of those who take care of the people who have the disease because you see this slow development over time, and it is only difficult to look at.”

Jase said it was overall “a tough trip” who visited Phil. “I did not predict to break down you, Jase,” he noted, to which Jase replied: “It has only been tough, but we appreciate the prayers.”

Jase first revealed his father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis as early as December, and at that time Phil was in “early stages” of the disease, which is “a brain condition that slowly harms your memory, thinking, learning and organizing skills” and has no cure, according to it Cleveland Clinic.
