NYC -Mom helped alleged her son and ex to kill her present boyfriend

A mother in New York City is accused of helping his son and his father killing his boyfriend, according to Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Daniel Spencer, 47, and his son Khaeir Spencer, 20, shot and killed David Brown, 43, in the Harlem apartment which he shared with Tetikwa Horace, 42, in December 2024.

On Monday 7 April, Manhattan District Atorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced Horace was charged with two bills to prevent prosecution in the first degree and a count of manipulation with physical evidence.

“As claimed, this father-son-duo David Brown murdered in his own home,” Bragg said in a statement. “Arming, Mr. Brown’s girlfriend – the mother of one of the accused – is alleged to have helped manipulate with evidence and hinder the prosecution in this case. We will seek full responsibility for this terrible act of arms violence.”

With reference to court documents and statements made on the record in the court, the district lawyer said that Horace entered the apartment she shared with Brown on Nycha’s Polo foundations on December 14, with her son Khaeir and his father Daniel.

Horace was alleged to his son and her ex enter the home with masks and main coatings to hide their identity as she left and took the surveillance camera from her front door on the way out.

About two minutes later, Khaeir and Daniel ran out of the apartment and left alleged brown with three gunshot injuries on the upper body and leg.

Officials with the New York Police Department arrived shortly after and transported the victim to Harlem Hospital where he died as a result of his wounds, the press release says.

Daniel was arrested on January 16. However, Horace helped Khaeir escape from the city and he was arrested in Sullivan county on March 4. Horace was also arrested on March 17.

Khaeir and Daniel were both accused of murder in the second degree, attempted attack in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and the attack in the second degree. Horace was charged with two bills to prevent prosecution in the first degree and a count of manipulation with physical evidence.

“We have never had such a thing that happens on our floor, so it actually scared us and shocked us because we didn’t know who it was,” said one of Horace and Brown’s neighbors New York Daily News.
