Meghann Fahy struggles to survive in Extreme New Drop Trailer (exclusive)



Meghann Fahy goes to extreme action to survive a first date with Brandon skins in Drop.

People have an exclusive new trailer for the thriller, directed by Christopher Landon, known for his horror work on Freaky and Happy Death Day.

Fahy stars as a widow mom Violet who return to the dating world with her first date of several years, with the charming Henry, played by Sklenar. Night Out takes a ride when Violet begins to be terrorized by anonymous drops to its phone.

“She is instructed to tell anyone and follow instructions or hood that she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet’s young son and babysitter sister,” teasing a synopsis. “Violet must do exactly according to the instructions or everyone she loves will die. Her invisible tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.”

White lotus Alum Fahy, 34, says Drop “Feels like watching a classic thriller – you are on luck with these characters in real time, without knowing what will happen next.”

“I was on the edge of my place and watched it for the first time, and I made the movie!” She adds. “I had never had the opportunity to make my own stunts like this before. Filming it was such an incredible experience.”

By 2025 SXSW Film & TV FestivalWhere Drop Had his world premiere on March 9, Sklenar, 34, told People that he and Costar Fahy “went thick like thieves from the hope” and made the movie.

“The movie is in real time, quite a lot, and it’s a date, so we were in the same wardrobe in the same chair in the same restaurant for seven weeks at a sound stage, no concept of time or space. It got a bit boring sometimes,” says Sklenar.

“It definitely helps if you have a real relationship and you really vibe with the people you work with and you can have a good time. We were really good to do this movie. And I think you can feel it in the movie.”

Also at SXSW, Landon told People that Fahy is “an incredible natural power” in the film. “There was nothing I couldn’t throw at her that she couldn’t do,” he says. “It was a bit astonishing.”
