Matt Lucas apologize to Millie Bobby Brown After she called him out for his comments about her appearance.

Shortly after Stranger Things actress, 21, called out their critics in a Instagram -videoLucas, 50, shared a statement in response.

In a text post shared to InstagramThe British actor and comedian declared that he was “killed” by an article that claimed he “threw” Brown.

“Dear Millie, I just saw your post and wanted to answer and give some context,” he wrote. “Almost 25 years ago I wrote together and appeared in a sketch show called Little Britain. There was a character in the one called Vicky Pollard, who had blonde hair and always wore a pink top, and in the photo you had blonde hair and wore a pink top so I pointed out the equality by posting one of her catch phases.”

He continued, “I thought you looked amazing and I was killed when the press wrote that I” threw “you, firstly because it is not my style, and secondly because I think you are brilliant. I would not have put it up if I thought it would have upset you but I realize it and for that I apologize.”

On Monday March 3, Brown took to Instagram to share a make -free video that discussed the latest media criticism of her appearance. The actress said it was important to deal with “bullying” in the media industry when it grows up during public review of “every young woman.”

“I started in this industry when I was ten years old,” Brown said. “I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason people may not seem to grow up with me.”

Brown also called specific headlines and journalists, including a daily postal article that claimed that Lucas “took a wild swipe” on the actress.
