A man’s conversation with an employee in the family has gone viral after confronting her for claiming to have made a racist comment.
Talk to Fox 26Deon “Chico” Young claimed he was waiting in the Kassel line in a Family Dollar store in the Houston area when he heard an employee behind the counter made a “derogatory” comment in Spanish to another customer about black people stealing shoes.
Young-As told the outlet that he is Afro-Llatino and speaks English, Spanish and French-understood the conversation.
He said that when it was his turn to check out, he confronted the employee and said to her: “Let me give you an advice: You never know who you insult.”
Young filmed the conversation on his phone and split the clip on Tiktok. In the now viral video, which has collected more than 775,000 views, he can be heard to say the employee: “You have to look at what you say when you say so. Because you don’t know who speaks Spanish.”
Then spoke in Spanish to the employee, before I switched back to English, Young said: “I just told you. When you talk about people, especially black people, man, look at what you say.”
Young shared the same feeling with Fox 26. “Because you see me as a black man, and you speak a different language, it doesn’t mean I don’t know what you say. And that’s my whole thing. See what you say, because you never know who understands you and you never know who you insult,” he told the outlet.
“My intention was not to get her fired but to control her – see what you say because you never know who understands you,” added Young. “You see me as a black person, but you don’t know my roots.”
After leaving the Dollar Store family after the incident filmed Young Another video Outside in the parking lot, where he expressed his frustration over the situation. He wrote over the clip, “I hate it when these undercover racist talks in Spanish about us.”

Young later another update At TikTok to share that family dollar, he was enough to apologize and indicated that the employee’s job would be completed.
People were enough for Dollar Tree, who owns family dolls, for comments but did not receive an immediate response.
