Lady Gaga Held a free concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, May 3 and played tracks from its massive catalog with hits for an estimated audience of 2.5 million people.
The series, which marked Pop Superstar’s first concert in Brazil in over a decade, broke the record for the highest-legged concert by a female artist in the history-a record that previously contained Madonna – told concert organizers Amount.

Gaga seemed to admit the historical moment during her concert and told Copacabana Beach audience, “Tonight, we make history”, Per Amount.

The musician started his historic show with the 2011 track “Bloody Mary”, and continued to perform a combination of her classics and songs of her latest album, Devastation.
Fans belt out the lyrics to “Poker face,” “Paparazzi,” “Basic” And more, their voices echo high throughout the area, concert films caught on social media.
Although the show eventually continued as planned, the Brazilian police later revealed that they prevented a bomb attack intended to target the audience at the free show, according to BBC.
The police said they arrested the person responsible for the attack, planned by a group that had spread hate talk to children and LGBTQ+ community, reported the outlet.

Before Gaga’s massive show on May 3, the record was held for the highest decision by a female artist by Madonna. Pop star, 66, nabbed the title in May 2024 when, for the last show of her Celebrating tourshe Held a free concert at Copacabana Beach who drew a crowd of 1.6 million fans.
Madonna’s concert was also the first of a female artist who exceeded a crowd of 1 million, per Guinness World Records.
The overall record holder for the largest concert mass is still held by StakeAccording to Guinness.
