Killer breaks down crying when she learns fate for terrible murder of 4-year-old boy with autism

A Las Vegas woman who earlier this year relied on the murder 2018 on a 4-year-old boy with autism has now been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of Parole.

Crystal Stephens, 48, was sentenced in Clark County District Court on Wednesday 7 May, according to both CBS connected CLASS and Las Vegas Review Journal.

Clark County District Court Judge Michelle Leavitt sentenced Stephen’s less months after taking an appeal in exchange for no longer meeting the death penalty in connection with the murder of 4-year-old Brandon Stecler Jr., Per Kla.

According to the arrest register quoted by Newspaper, Stephens originally told the authorities that she took care of the boy and his sister.

Drug residues and accessories were later found in Stephen’s home, which had called the police to report that the boy had drowned, according to Klas.

Before the boy’s death, child protection services had been contacted five times about concerns about the boy and his family. The agency once examined but found that claims were substantiated, according to a state -owned child’s welfare report mentioned by the outlet.

Stephens was first arrested on July 30, 2018 and remain in custody, according to Clark County detention center Website. She told the judge during her judgment on Wednesday that she takes full responsibility for her actions, but did not explain why she abused the child, according to Newspaper.

Anna Clark, her public defender, added that Stephens knows that there is no justification for her actions, the outlet reported.

The boy’s grandmother, Synthia Mosley, told the court that she hopes that Stephens “feels at every moment the consequences of what she has done because we know them in every heart.”

“The hole that his absence has left behind is as impossible as the love he gave so free,” Mosley said.
