Husband feels “moved” to the basement because of the wife’s television program

A woman’s TV routine on Friday night causes excitement in her marriage.

In a post Reddit“Am I a ——?” Forum, the 35-year-old woman shared that her favorite program is Rupaul’s Drag RaceAnd she looks forward to looking at the new section when it is broadcast every week.

The problem? Her husband is not a fan of the reality show and because the couple lives in “a relatively small house with an area to watch TV”, he feels the “need” to retreat into their unfinished basement for 90 minutes while enjoying her TV -time.

“It has recently caused a lot of dispute in our relationship because he believes he should not have to be moved to the basement on Friday nights after he works hard,” wrote the woman before he claimed she does not believe her Drawl Sessions are so “unreasonable.”

“This is the only show I watch when it is broadcast, and I don’t like to record it and watch it later because I don’t want to see spoilers on social media that are almost impossible for me to avoid,” she explained. “I just don’t think I’m unreasonable by wanting to watch a show on one night of the week for an hour and a half.”

The wife also pointed out that she really “does not force” her husband to go to the basement and that he “could easily go into the bedroom instead.”

In the comment section, many colleagues questioned on the questions why the man made such a hassle over a small thing.

“I can definitely understand that I don’t want to watch that show, but all normal persons would just do something else too little, no big deal,” one person wrote.

Others pointed out that the man makes a choice to “soak away” to the basement when he has many other options.

“He doesn’t have to go to the basement – he decides to go in the basement,” a commentator claimed. “He could wear headphones and look at something on his phone if he wanted to. He could also go to your bedroom instead of the basement if it is an option. He intentionally makes it uncomfortable for himself because he does not get his way.”

Another person said: “He can literally do anything except using TV: You 90 minutes. Go to a friend, get pick -up, go for a walk, work out, nap, play on his phone, etc. He is unreasonable and rather controlling. ”

Someone else even suggested that the man could turn the situation into an advantage, write, “sounds like he has an hour and a half every week to end the basement.”

Another Redditor pointed out joking that the wife’s 90 minute TV is hardly compared to some man’s sports habits.

“If this was a man who looked at a sporting event, no one would even comment on the length of the game. He will live,” wrote one commentator, while another widened, “Ask some wife to a sports fan in 1.5 hours for 16 weeks is shorter than all seasons for any sport. ”

A Redditor tried to see the situation from the husband’s perspective and asked the woman: “Can this be him that makes a bid for your attention?
