‘Hercules’ and ‘Xena’ Star dies at 71

Robert Trebor, the actor who played Salmoneus in both Hercules: the legendary journeys and Xena: Warrior Princesshave died. He was 71.

Trebor died of sepsis on March 11 at the Los Angeles Medical Center, said his wife, Deirdre Hennings, Hollywood Reporter.

He was previously diagnosed with leukemia in 2012, before underwent a stem cell transplant in 2013, from which he received side effects, according to his Online -death case.

“Mr. Trebor’s talent, humor, energy and enthusiasm will be strongly missing by everyone who knew him, especially by his wife,” says the star’s death rider.

Trebor, who was born in Philadelphia and participated in Northwestern University, spent some of his previous years as an actor at New York City Ensemble Studio Theater, where he performed in Shel Silverstein’s plays, according to his death right.

From there came his breakout role in 1985, when he played in the TV movie Out of the dark as Son of Sam, along with such as Martin Sheen and Héctor Elizondo. His second early project included the 1986 52 pickup1987’s My demon lover1987’s Do Mr. Right and Oliver Stones Film from 1988 Call radio.

Perhaps his most famous role came in 1995 on the series Hercules: the legendary journeysWhere he played Merchant Salmoneus. He also returned the role of Xena: Warrior Princessappear in a handful of sections.

In an interview from 2001 with The travelerTrebor said that his character’s bow was “to try to be a good person, but his essential mercantile instincts continued to disturb it.”

Some of Trebor’s other projects included the 2004 Jimay gick in lalawoodas well as to appear in The young Indiana Jones Chronicles and Tales from the Crypt.

As his death says, Trebor was named one of the first artists at The Braid in Los Angeles 2013. He also published two books during his lifetime Dear Salmoneus: The World’s First Guide to Love and Money and The hairstyle that would be king.

In 2016 he was credited in his final movie, Coen Brothers’ Satire Hail, Caesar!
