Gabrielle Union reveals that the man Dwyane Wade is cancer -free

Gabrielle Union provides an update on her husband Dwyane WadeS health after removal of a cancer tumor from his kidneys.

Hall of Fame Basketball Star, 43, was revealed in a January section of WY network Podcast that he had 40% of his right kidney away after undergoing surgery on December 18, 2023.

After being asked by Sunny Hostin If her husband is “better now” on Thursday, February 27 -section of The perceptionUnion, 52, answered, “Yes, he has undergone the operation and he is cancer -free, but that was a challenge.”

The first news about Wade’s cancer diagnosis left the association “in such shock,” she said.

“You hear cancer (and) you are paralyzed because you think about the absolute worst case. I have had so many friends who are cancer survivors,” she continued. “I didn’t go there; I went to ‘he’s gone.’ ”

She said it took her and her loved ones “for a while” to digest the news.

“He didn’t tell everyone. He didn’t even tell the whole family. He really wanted this to be much under the radar. He didn’t tell anyone,” Union said.

Actress and wade shares 6-year-old daughter Caviar James. In addition, Wade is a father to Zaire23 and Siker17, with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, and has a son named Xavier, 11, with Aja Metoyer. He is also the legal custodian for his nephew, Dahveon Morris, 21.

While he publicly revealed his diagnosis in a January -section of WY network Podcast, Wade said, “It was the first time my family, my dad, my children, they saw me weak.”

“That moment was probably the weakest point I’ve ever known in my life,” Wade said. “At the moment I was myself, I fought, dog.”

Although he did not want his family to see him in that state, he said that they were ultimately one of the main reasons why he chose the operation.

“I had a personal decision to make, and what it was,” if this is cancer, if this tumor, this cyst is cancer, on your kidney, you are 41 years old, you probably need surgery because it is something that needs to be removed so that it is not spread, “Wade said.
