Frankie Muniz goes out of his comfort zone in Rener.
The new sci-fi thriller, which was opened in limited theaters on Friday, contains Muniz, 39, as an internal conflict computer genius deviation from his previous performances.
“I remember showing up to put and meet the director and we rehearsed a bit and I was pretty nervous,” Muniz tells to take the role 19 years after playing in Malcolm in the middle. “When I got into it I was like: ‘I don’t know if I can do it.’ It was a strange feeling that I have never really shown to a set. ”

Muniz admits he was worried that the role would drive him out of his comfort zone, but he quickly got into it. “I remember getting ready to film,” I am embarrassing myself “. “I was not actively looking for something that would be different from what I have done before,” Muniz adds. “I’m happy, and I know people are worried about being typecast, but if I was known as Malcolm for the rest of my life it’s still pretty cool. It was a fantastic show that people loved. I won’t keep me Away from it, but at the same time it is fun for me to do different types of projects, and I think this one will surprise people.
