Et was almost a little less family-friendly-at least according to the actress Dee Wallace.
Wallace, who played Elliott’s mother, Mary, in the 1982 iconic film, appeared in the section 28 April Still here Hollywood Podcast. During the discussion with host Steve KmmekoThe actress revealed that there was almost a more Risqué version of the movie.
“There is a whole B story in Et About that ET has a love affair with Mary, a love crusher on Mary, ”explained Wallace, 76.” And there are small pieces of it left there. ”
“It was a scene where he came in to put Reeses’s pieces down my bedside table as I sleep,” she continued. “Well, (director) Mr. (Steven) Spielberg Wanted the sheet a little lower than I was comfortable with. ”

Wallace recalled that she told Spielberg that she did not think it was the right choice for his film.
“I claimed my point that this was a family movie,” she said, leaving that it was “very clean for me.”
She said they finally consulted with the film’s writers, Melissa Mathisonand producer, Kathleen KennedyAnd came to an intermediate ground.

“So we compromised and pulled up the sheets almost to my shoulder blades, which I was okay with,” Wallace concluded.

“You know – that child – we knew from the first day that she would become a producer and director,” she said.
“I’m sitting in a high director’s chair, the first day on set, and she comes to me and she goes,” Dee, I will sit in your knee now. “And I said,” Okay, Drew, came up. “I mean, she just knew what she wanted, it.”
