Damson Idris strips down the red carpet reveals in F1-inspired suit at 2025 Met Gala

• Damson Idris debuted two clothes on the carpet at 2025 Met Gala

Damson Idris went sporty for its appearance on 2025 with gala – Literally.

The F1 The actor, 33, participated in the event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 5 and had a show-stop outfit reveal before he rises the carpet.

Idris first carried one F1-Inspired outfit, which took inspiration from racing suits that he and his cost, Brad Pitt, carry in the sports film.

The customized Tommy Hilfiger look consisted of a mounted white race costume with logos of Hilfiger, Mercedes-Benz, Shark and Ninja Electronics, Software Company Expensify and more-that he accessories with a red, white and black Hand Plade Helm

Idris gave photographers for a moment on the carpet to catch their racing suit before two assistants tore the suit to show a completely different ensemble underneath.

The actor’s dramatic disclosure gave way to a second adapted look by Tommy Hilfiger, consisting of a Rouge Tuxedo who offered a modern tag Tommy Tartan.

The Tuxedo jacket contained a red and gold tartar pressure along with red satin lap. Idris paired the jacket with matching inner vest, a sharp white button down shirt and flared smoke pants with a satin side band.

The actor ended the look with a tailor -made emerald brooch and jewelry from his own line, Didris.

In front of Met Gala, the actor with people spoke exclusively that Didris came to life and revealed the sweet connection that the line has to his mother.

“Didris is a tribute to my mom and I really picked up where she ended up with her dream and passion, which she sacrificed to raise us all,” explained Idris, noting that he used to be caught “stealing from her jewelry box.”

He added, “I did this collection because I wanted a brand that represented how I dress and what kind of jewelry I buy and I wanted to exist in a space that people I usually do not exist.”

2025 Met Gala theme, as well as the corresponding exhibition, is “Superfine: Tailor -made black style.” It takes inspiration from Guest curator Monica L. Miller’s book 2009The Slaves to fashion: black dandyism and styling of black diasporic identitythat explores “The Black Dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”

Met Gala’s dress code for 2025 was “tailor made for you”, a nod for the spring of 2025 exhibition’s focus on men’s clothing and appropriate.

This year’s Met Gala marks the actor’s second time at the annual collection. Idris debuted in 2022, which celebrated the opening of the exhibition “In America: an Anthology of Fashion” at the Costume Institute.

For that event, the budding star wore an elegantly adapted suit of Dunhill and was accompanied by the brand’s creative manager, Mark Weston. The dress code that year was “gilded glamor, white tie”, a nod to the extravagant styles of clothing worn during the gilded age.
