Claw bear with meth pipe in the mouth found in the driver’s seat during Ohio traffic stops, police say

During a routine traffic stop for an alleged suspended license in Springfield, Ohio, was seen a raccoon that took hold of a meth pipe and captured the local police attention.

An officer completed the stop on Monday 5 May, said Springfield Township Police Department in a May 6 press release. After the official “contacted the driver”, identified as 55-year-old Victoria Vidal, she was arrested “without incident.”

“But things took an unusual turn” as the official returned to the vehicle, the police continued. “He observed a raccoon called” Chewy “which sat in the driver’s seat with a meter in the mouth.”

“Chewy had somehow taken hold of a glassmethamphetamine tube, which led officers to further inspect the vehicle,” police said.

The discovery was given the official to do “a subsequent search”, which is alleged to reveal a “bulk -volume methamphetamine, crack cocaine” and “three used glass meters,” police say.

Vidal, living in Akron, Ohio, was arrested by Springfield Township Police Department. She was accused of F3 possession of drugs, three bills of possession of drug equipment and received a citation to run with a suspended license, according to STPD.

She was booked by the Cuyahoga Falls Police for her active warrant.

“While our officers are trained to expect the unexpected, it is to find a raccoon that holds a meter tube! No raccoons were injured or injured in this incident.”

They confirmed that Chewy was “unharmed” and found that Vidal is the raccoon’s rightful owner.

People were enough for Stpd for comments but did not immediately belong back.

In Ohio, the residents get to own a raccoon as pets if they submit appropriate documentation, Fox 8 reported. Among other allowed exotic pets include chinchillas, sugar slides, antelopes, roaming buffalo, moose, caribu, lame, tarantulas, alpacas, deer and emus.
