A bride was in a shock when she discovered that her wedding dress did not come to the arena.
Danielle Olivia Lyth, 30, went to Marbella, Spain to tie the knot with her partner Jamie Luth, 35. She planned the destination wedding for two years and tells people that “the structure was nothing but magical.” But there was a big hiccup. Just a few hours before the ceremony, Britain’s based bride was told that no one could find her dress and veil.
Lyth teased the frightening moment in a new Tiktok It shows her in a white grinding dress with a cover neck ring and a lace coverage. The bride is in full glam with dramatic lashes and cascade blonde curls as she poses in front of a balcony. “She doesn’t know it yet, but in about ten minutes her mother will tell her she forgot to pack her wedding dress and veil,” she wrote on the viral video.
Now, over a year after September 28, 2023, Lyth opens its story.
The bride had moved out to the scene with her hubby, daughter Eva and mother Lorraine. The group had plenty of luggage on the trailer, including “eight suitcases, handbags, hat boxes and of course the wedding dress, which had their own place on the plane,” she says.
They had rented a villa for three weeks which was about 90 minutes from the arena, but went to the arena early for wedding festivities. “We all had the baggage that was put on the villa that is ready to be split between three cars, because Jamie and I had to meet the priest to discuss our daughter’s baptism, which was planned two days after the wedding,” says Lyth. “I left my mother responsible for sorting the bag to take up to the arena.”
When Lyth arrived at the arena, her time was filled with celebration, including their large white party. “We had some drinks in advance at the hotel and then went out to celebrate the night before our big day! I had warned Jamie not to get too full, but apparently I was the one who got away – some too many tequila shots later it seems,” says the bride.
The next day Lyth was caught in the buzz from her special day. “Surprisingly, I woke up the next morning and felt fresh and ready to go,” she shares. “We had breakfast delivered to our room and sat on the balcony with my bridesmaids and soaks everything.”
She continued, “Morning buzz started – hairdressers, makeup artists, photographers and videos began to arrive. I asked my mom to take my dress from her room so we could show it on the mannequin for photos. It was when things took a turn.”
When moments passed and the wedding dress had not yet appeared, the bride concerned asked her sister to “control the dress.”
“She came back with a face that said everything – they couldn’t find the dress or veil,” Lyth says, noting that time ticked. “It was 11 o’clock, and the ceremony was at 16 o’clock, with photos planned for 15.00. Everyone started tearing through suitcases and boxes and searching every corner. Then my mother suggested it still be back at the villa – over an hour away.”
Thankfully, Lyth had a special someone who is willing to travel up to the moment. “The only person who was not part of the bridal party who could make the trip was my swogs,” she says. “We asked him to go and cross his fingers that the dress was there.” When he arrived at the villa, he phased the family and searched every room to no avail. “Then, behind a door, he finally saw a big box – and inside it was my dress. Next to it was a black box with my veil. I could have screamed with relief!”
Lyth’s brother-in-law arrived back to the wedding site “around 13 or 14-precise for us to photograph it on the mannequin, take Tiktoks with my makeup artist and snap some special shots with my daughter before I dressed.”

The bride reminds to stay “as calm as I could – I didn’t want anything to ruin the morning of my wedding.”
“The day itself was beyond fantastic, and people are still talking about it,” she says about the total experience. “It was a whole week of parties, and our wedding day was really one of the best days of my life. I am eternally grateful for everyone who made the trip and went with us for every moment. I wish I could do it again!”
Speaking of her dress, Lyth says it was love at first glance. “I had seen it on Instagram and knew immediately that it was. It was fantastic, with three different layers so I could change the look during the day,” she shares. “My mom and I made a trip from Manchester to Glasgow to try it, not really expect a lot. But from the moment we went into the store, it felt specially advanced, elegant and so welcoming.”
The dress shop Eleganza Sposa gave the Lyth All-Star treatment. “I had my own bridal consultant and created a” love it “list to guide the process,” she says. “The first dress I tried was the dress, but I tried five to be safe. None of them compared.”
“It had a timeless Spanish feeling that matched our place perfectly,” Lyth continues his dress. “It was tailor made by Eleganza, and only a few existed, which made it feel even more unique.”
