Was the whole exchange of an ongoing piece, a running gag with burr? Or was Corgan actually for real?
It turns out that it is the latter – or at least as real as it can be. The Smashing Pumpkins Frontman and The magnificent others Podcast -host, 57, tells people that his appearance on Mandel’s podcast, which went viral for Burr’s difficult uncomfortable reception, was hardly a joke.
“It was one of the rare moments where I think we all really didn’t know where it was going. And you see it, and that’s what makes it a little interesting, he explains. “There is enough energy where that is why it is not a bit, because it is really about confronting something in a way that none of us really knew what that confrontation would lead to, and you see it playing out. You look jokes, but you also look the same way, oh, there is something there.”
Corgan even says he had close friends grilled him on the question, which originated from his stepmother who once told him that there is a chance that he and Burr will share the same father, the result of Corgan’s father’s days as traveling musicians (a story he told us at Mandel’s podcast in November).

The musician acknowledges that history’s lack of a definitive answer is “part of what makes it exciting” while he raises praise for Burr, 56, which he calls “an amazing, talented and fun person.”
“It has been taken on its own life. It’s a bit strange, he says. “It really started from honest things, which are, my father can have Father 12 other children, and facts in Bill’s life actually match the story that I heard. There is no invention there. ”
Buzz about the two stars began in January, when Burr was a guest at Howie Mandel does things Podcast. During Sit-Down, Mandel Corgan invited the show as a surprise guest and left Burr visibly uncomfortable.

The two confirmed that they had never met before, and even though they seemed smooth out, Burr seemed upset and told the rocker, “Listen, you have done well to yourself, I’m happy for you, but I would only prefer if you just did not go around and told these to stories. As, why did you feel the need to do so?”
Corgan continued to explain that he had shared the story because he had come across almonds and “the first thing he told me was:” Here comes Bill Burr. “And I go,” Do you know that story somehow? “And he said,” What story? “And so I told him privately that story and he said,” Oh, you have to say this in the air. ”
