A family is heartbroken after a video of their 5-year-old son who was bullied and called ethnic slurs by an older, middle school, was shared throughout their Virginia society.
Mother and Father, identified only as Ashely and Shawn, spoke to NBC News4 Saturday April 26 after another parent learned about the video and noticed it.
In the pictures, the 5-year-old’s face was blurred from the news broadcast and the older child did not work on the camera.
The ethical slurs repeatedly said by the older child, which rhymes with King Kong and can be heard in the uncensored clip published by Asam Newswas also censored by NBC News4. The younger child was seen running away from the middle school, calling the doorbell at home and begging for help.
“No! Don’t hurt me! Don’t hurt me!” Said the 5-year-old, held out his hands and put a jacket over his head for protection.
He also asked nearby children to “save” him when the others laughed.
The child who recorded asked the Asian boy if he had “dumplings” for dinner.
When the mother opened the front door, unaware of what had just happened and her children ran in, the average school told him: “Bye, have a good day.”
The video was divided into a chat group with students from nearby Eagle Ridge Middle School.

It was a parent in the community who found out the pictures and traced the victim’s family to tearfully let their parents know what was happening.
“Every time I saw it, my heart is broken every time,” Ashley told the news station in the emotional sit down. “As a mother, to see my son offended by other older children, my son’s only 5 years old. I just don’t know why these children are so cruel to say that to my son.”
Shawn sat next to her and told NBC News4 that one of Taunts involved that his son was called “King Kong.”
“Should I keep lying and saying,” Yes. They call you King Kong because you are strong, “said the father, when his voice began to break,” or should I try to explain to him what does that word do and why they say it to you? It’s hard. ”
Ashley added that it was equally worrying not to see anyone rise to his son, instead chose to laugh at his cry for help.
“No one came to go out and say,“ Stop. “No one thinks this is not right.

Shawn and Ashley moved to Loudoun County from China and chose the area for the neighborhood and schools.
“We thought this would be a good place, but it ended like this,” he said.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office and Loudoun County Public Schools did not immediately respond to people’s request for comment.
“The school department does not condone the behavior and is quite disappointed. Although this child,” spokesman Dan Adams told News4, with reference to the 5-year-old, “is not an LCPS student, we have offered this student counseling.”
