It’s just so Graham-Alltid two steps forward. I was honest with reverence and also laughed because he handled it so factually.”

“This was a very” graham “response,” she continues. “He is logical and compassionate. He wanted me to have a cake … just not his cake. And that’s quite fair! I think he thought,” Why share mine when we have plenty? “I love that we all ended with two cookies – on his terms!

“The comments have been overwhelmingly positive and heartwarming,” says Hilary. “So many made me laugh out loud! Many people loved how Graham kept fixed boundaries while they still made sure everyone got their cookies. It’s something we believe in strongly – he never has to share food if he doesn’t want to.”

“One of my favorite comments (except all those who called him a future president or CEO!) Was:” He taught us colors. He taught us math. He taught us empathy. He taught us independence. He taught us equality. Small is intended for greatness. “It’s just the best, she continues.

“I think that – with toddlers – we can model sharing behavior and reinforce that sharing is kind, but we should not blame them to share or make them feel bad if they do not want to,” she adds. “It is one of the things we are never forced to do in our adult lives, and I am glad that so many people have appreciated and stood at Graham’s response to the challenge.”
