  • Caitlin Trask created a “man Catalog” to better understand her potential matches in the US
  • Once she has compiled all her data she comes to the city with the most potential matches and meet them in person
  • Her Tiktok -Video by her “husband Catalog” went viral and collected 530,000 views

Caitlin Trask puts together a dating science experience.

Trask, 32, holds a spreadsheet of all the men she matched with on hinges and tracks things like their age, height, job and all interesting information shared on their dating profiles.

Trask tells people exclusively that it is a way to find out which city has the highest proportion of people she would be compatible with.

The idea was inspired by one of her colleagues, who found her hubby by going to different states and different countries for one month at a time. She put her dating apps to that place and went on dates with different men there. Trask decided to give it a shot after struggling to find romantic contacts in Denver, where she lives.

Now trunk puts their dating apps to different cities to see who she can match with and catalogs them in her spreadsheet. Along with general information about every person, such as their religion and political affiliation, she also indicates whether she thinks they are attractive and their communication style or not.

“Most guys I find are my usual type, which means they have curly hair, good smiles and interesting instructions in their profile,” she says. “Someone who seems to have a fun conversation with is what I generally find.”

As an “analytical person”, Trask says it is interesting to see different patterns appear in her data. One, especially is that she matched only men over 6 feet 2 inches in Boston, even though her online mates joked that they have not found any tall men in Massachusetts.

Trap shared his man -catalog on TiktokAnd the video went viral and collected over 530.00 views. Most reactions to her video have been positive, with many who ask her to share her template.

After collecting enough data, Trask plans to make charts to better understand which city has the highest proportion of people she would be compatible with. She has already tested the experiment in New York City, Boston, San Diego and Austin.

“The ultimate goal is to visit the places where I think it seems to be the most individual men that I am in line with and visit there and see if something comes from it,” shares trap.
