Woman Pries Alligator’s Jaws Open to save her dog from fatal attack

A woman who fought by a 6-foot-6 aligator when it attacked her dog while she was on an evening stroll speaks out.

On Tuesday, April 1, Kim Spencer went with his nine -year -old rescue dog, Kona, when an alligator came out of a nearby lake. Before she could rush away, the reptile took a bit that placed the dog’s entire head in his jaws, local news 7 News Miami and Fox 13 reported.

“She is facing it, it is before her, and it jumped out and got her,” Spencer said according to the stores. “She was in up to up here; the whole head was in her mouth.”

“I stopped thinking and just pigeon, jumped on it and went over it, as women -like as it is, trying to lean their jaws open,” she continued.

The married dog owner – who is an elementary school teacher – said she is not a nature lover because she is “always afraid of streets, snakes, you name it” per Bay News 9.

But she could ignore her fear of turning on the Alligator from behind to save her beloved Labrador mix.

Spencer recalled to hear a noise and saw the alligator’s eyes in the water about 10 meters from the bank just moment before the attack, Wfla news reported.

She described the reptile as having Kona’s “entire front” in her mouth within seconds.

“It was my back for me, so it made me just jump on,” Spencer said Per Fox 13. “We were just lucky as fast as it ran after us, it ran back into the water, and we were out there.”

After saving Pooch, Spencer ended with seams, and Kona suffered deep bite wounds, according to the outlet.

“I would do it again. I couldn’t live with myself if I let her be removed,” Spencer told Wfla News.

She has promised to make future walks in the gated part of her Hillsborough County society and urges other people to avoid areas where alligators can lurk Per Bay News 9.

“They have to know to stay away. Don’t go close to them, don’t feed them,” Spencer said to the outlet.
