Woman, 78, becomes viral for shocking facelift results: inside her transformation (exclusive)

As a rather fit woman in the 70s, Deborah maintained an active lifestyle and was always sure of her appearance. She was doing her skin care and loved to get facials, but when she tipped in in the early 70s she began to notice what she calls a “bold neck” which she says is hereditary.

And she didn’t like it.

As a 76 -year -old, she felt financially healthy to invest in a complete facial rejuvenation to do what she looked like on the outside match how young she felt on the inside. Deborah tells people that all the yoga and pilates that kept her body young and lively, really helped keep her well, plus she says she “will probably live for a while given (her) family history”, so that’s why she decided that plastic surgery was in order.

Because she and her husband live in Upstate New York and go to Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery and double -table certified plastic surgeon Dr. Vito C. Quatela Just was mean to Deborah.

“He is world famous,” she says easily. “He’s good at what he does.”

Deborah and Dr. Quatela started with a virtual consultation, where he evaluated what she might want to see for herself. He tells people that he understood her desire to see just a little more youth, rather than turning back the clock completely. He knew he could help her.

“Deborah went through what we call an extensive facial rejuvenation,” he explains. “In simpler terms, we dealt with several areas of her face and neck to create natural, harmonious results. This included a deep plane facelift and deep neck contour to restore youthful contours, work on her lower eyelid to light up her eyes, a forehead to open her upper face and laser treatment around her mouth.

He did all this during an operation that took between seven and eight hours in June 2023. Dr. Quatela also adds that his goal was for his patient to come out and look natural than “drug.”

“Each element was carefully chosen to work together and create an updated look,” he describes. “The goal was for Deborah to look like the best version of himself.”

The doctor shares that Deborah’s operation went according to plan, as was her recovery. She stayed in place in the facility’s carriage house for ten days, where she was monitored by staff, and Deborah says her appearance was a shock to her husband. When he saw her the day after the surgery, she was understandably blown and swollen, and even though he knew she was going to be, he was unprepared.

“I stayed overnight there with a nurse just because I didn’t want to come home and let my husband take care of me that first night,” she explains. “I had a meeting the next morning to take out the drainage pipes, and my husband met me there, and his first three words when he saw me was OMG. He said I looked like I had been in a boxing match for 12 rounds and lost every round, because my face was all swollen and bruises.”

Fortunately for Deborah, now 78, and her husband, swelling and bruises disappeared as expected, and she kept her sunny behavior about her, which Dr. Quatela says was what “hit” him most about her as a patient. Despite all the discomfort she knew and all the bruises she experienced, she kept positive, he says.

“What is remarkable about Deborah is how positive she stayed during the healing process. She understood that this was an investment in herself and trusted the process. Many patients, such as Deborah, says that the recovery was simpler than they foreseen, especially with our extensive support system,” he shares.

Deborah says it took just over six months for her to feel that she was healed enough to really see the results she was looking for, and then she felt she had a face that matched how suitable the rest of her body felt. And she has received nothing but compliments from those around her, including her husband.

It was especially fun when she and her husband went back to their winter home in Florida for the first time after her transformation. She says it was obvious that some of her friends down there could say that she “looked different but did not want to say anything”, so she eventually told about her face lift.

“I’ve only had compliments from people. They all say it looks so natural,” she shakes.

Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery also shared Deborah’s transformation on its Tiktok In May, where it has taken up almost a million views and almost 50,000 “likes” and 2k shares with people who whine about what “natural” her plastic surgery looks like.

Deborah takes all social media fame in steps and is happy that people have been so free. She only enjoys her new, rejoicing look and holds up with her pilates while she shows it.
