Fox News Senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich and Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick are engaged.

Fitzpatrick suggested for Heinrich on June 29, 2025, while he was on a romantic trip to France. She told people exclusively that Pennsylvania -Congress Member came down on one knee as they wandered through a lavender field at the sunrise outside Provence.

“He didn’t ask for any help from me or someone I know. So I was really surprised that he got it in place. What I could have asked for, dreamed myself up, he did without even asking,” Heinrich told People in July 2025.

They got engaged in June 2025 in a French lavender field

After four years of dating, Fitzpatrick proposed for Heinrich while they were on a trip to France on June 29, 2025. The couple went out for a sunrise walk in the middle of a lavender field in Valensole, a city in Provence.

Before the commitment, Heinrich told Fitzpatrick that it was her dream to visit southern France. When they planned the trip, they wrote down a “bin list” of attractions they wanted to see – including the breathtaking lavender field.

The couple, who have a 15-year-old age gap, left nice and drove to the fields for sunrise. After he offered to take some pictures of her, he came down on one knee and asked her to marry him with a brilliant round diamond.

“It was so breathtaking,” Heinrich told People. “The smell was just so fragrant. It’s a memory that will be saved into my brain for life. It’s hard to even put words into how wonderful it really was. It felt like a fairy tale.”

After taking some festive photographs in the field, the recently engaged couple went to a local cafe and later dared to St. Tropez and Cannes before returning to DC, where she bought a new house.

When it comes to wedding plans, Heinrich told People that they plan to have a large wedding held in a Catholic church. She added, “It will be good. We are really happy to celebrate.”
