White House shakes up the press room with big deals to the Tiktok creators

In his first time on the Podium of White House, Karoline Leavitt Said an extra place for “new media voices” had been reserved in front of the narrow orientation room.

Trump has repeatedly criticized traditional media such as “people’s enemy”, and he credits a series of podcast performances to help return to the White House.

“As the youngest press secretary in history, thanks to President Trump, I am very proud to open this room for new media voices,” told 27-year-old Leavitt to a packed orientation room.

“Whether you are a Tiktok content creator, a blogger, a podcasts, if you produce legitimate news content … you will be able to apply for press details for this white house,” she said.

The shaking was more modest than some news organizations had feared after the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., talked in November about “opening up” the press room.

The 49 places in the room are assigned a number of news organizations that are members of the White House correspondent association.

Reporters without places may stand beside if there is space-as they did for Leavitt’s packed debut on Tuesday.

The new press secretary also promised to keep reporters responsible for what she said was “lies” about Trump.

“We actually know that there have been lies that have been run by many older media in this country about this president, about his family, and we will not accept it,” she said.

The briefing at the iconic podium in the White House was Leavitt first since Trump was inaugurated eight days ago. So far, she has largely talked to conservative TV stores including Fox News.

Trump Sidestepped interviews with some major TV networks during the election campaign and instead chose to talk to several to a large extent right podcast including His stint The extremely popular Joe Rogan experience.
