Where will Super Bowl 2026 and 2027 be held?

As NFL says goodbye to the 2024 season and Super Bowl Lix, there is no better time to start planning for the upcoming two championships.

After the Philadelphia Eagles beat Kansas City Chief’s 40-22 in New Orleans, Santa Clara, California will host Super Bowl LX at Levis Stadium 2026. Super Bowl LXI will be played at Sofi Stadium in Ingrlewood, California 2027.

Levis Stadium is home to San Francisco 49ers and Sofi Stadium is home to both Los Angeles teams, chargers and Rams. NFL chose the places in May 2023 and December 2023respective.

Levis Stadium will host the event for the second time after hosting Super Bowl 50 2016. It will be the third time Super Bowl is held in Bay Area. The first ever Bay Area Super Bowl was in 1985 for the Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium-when 49ers got its second Super Bowl Championship title.

Sofi Stadium hosted the 2022 championship. Los Angeles also hosted Super Bowls 1967, 1977, 1977, 1980, 1983, 1987 and 1993. San Diego, Charger’s former home, hosted Super Bowl 1988, 1998 and 2003.

By 2027, California will have been worth 15 times. It will be the other state worth the most, after Florida at 17 – with 11 times in Miami, five in Tampa and one in Jacksonville.

California is not the first state to host back-to-back super bowls. Florida was worth 2020 and 2021, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

Levis Stadium and Sofi Stadium will also be worth 2026 FIFA World Cup matches. 2028 Los Angeles will be worthy of 2028 Summer Olympic Games.

Super Bowl LXII will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta 2028. It will be Georgia’s fourth time worth, after having the game in Atlanta 1994, 2000 and 2019.

The NFL has not yet announced where Super Bowl will be played longer than 2028.
