New York, New York – Universal Music Publishing Group has claimed Tiktok Refusing to respond to concerns about artificial intelligence in an ongoing dispute and says “They simply do not value your music.”

The statement described Tiktok’s intentions to AI as “increasingly clearer”, says that the platform “refuses to respond to our concerns about AI who rob songwriters from fair compensation or give insurance that they will not train their AI models on your songs.”
“Every indication is that they simply do not value your music,” it said.
“We understand that the disorder is difficult for some of you and your careers, and we are sensitive to how this can affect you around the world. We realize this can be uncomfortable at the moment.”
“But it is crucial to the continued future value, safety and health of the entire music system, including all music fans.”
UMPG added that it will only support partners who “value songwriters, artists and your songs” and it will continue to fight “for our songwriters” after a long and successful story of doing so.
The statement comes one day after Tiktok announced that it was in the process of performing UMPG’s requirement to “remove all songs written (or co -written) by a songwriter signed to UMPG based on information they have provided.”
“Their actions not only affect songwriters and artists that they represent, but also affect many artists and songwriters who are not signed to Universal,” it said. “We are still committed to reaching a fair agreement with Universal Music Group.”
