A Kentucky family sought shelter in their home bathtub when a tornado balled through their town, London, KY., On Friday 16 May, according to Fox weather.
Ida House and three other family members found security in their bathtub, but when they came out of the waste, their home was destroyed in the Sunshine Hills area. “It’s bad. We lost everything except some in the house, not much,” House told Fox Weather.
When they could certainly judge the injury, House revealed that she, her uncle and her grandchildren discovered that some of their neighbors were caught under junk and removed them from there.
“It’s going to be a long time, but we’ll get it,” House told the news station. “We will get everything back to normal and we will stay here. This is our area. And we will stay here.”

Roger and Karina Rivas also found protection in the bathroom and chased into the shower. Like houses and her family, the shower is everything that still stands. After the couple got the tornado warning, they ran into the small bathroom and lay on the floor until it went.
“We thought we had just fallen down, but we realized that we were about 10, 15 feet out,” Roger said. “The house is gone.” He got a serious injury to his arm from junk.
They revealed that during the trauma of their storm their German shepherd, shadow, their grip. Shadow was safely found, but because of the worrying event, she continues to flee.
“We didn’t know. We thought she was dead,” Roger said. “The house, everything that was in it, it doesn’t matter. We could care less. All this is interchangeable. We are not interchangeable, it just … overwhelming to see how fragile it is and just feel so overwhelmed that we did it.”

On Monday 19 May National Weather Service (NWS) warned of severe weather from the central and southern plains into Ozarks. “All serious weather hazards are expected to include tornadoes (some potentially strong to intense), very large hail and severe winds,” wrote the agency.
