Todd Chrisley shares the emotional reaction his son Grayson had when he and his wife Julie Chrisley returned home from prison.

Todd, 56, said his son Grayson, 19, asked if he could “sleep” in the room with him and Julie, 52, on their first night back when he was “scared” they would be sent away again.

“He came in and he said,“ Can I sleep with you tonight? “I said,” You can, “Todd said.

Grayson discussed his parents home and chimped, “(the best part) is really just being together. I mean, you take those time for granted when they are home, and then when you realize one day it can be there and the next day it is not, you know, it just means a little more.”

Holy Also reminded of his brother’s reaction and said, “The first night he said:” I’m afraid to sleep because I feel I just wake up in the morning and they will not be here. ”

“Graysons always said,” I have two moms “, because we are nine years apart. And so we have always been attached to the hip,” she continued. “And he has taught me more than any person in the world ever could for the past two and a half years.”

“He thought I saved him when he saved me in reality … going through this has been such a whirlwind,” Savannah added.

In June 2022 Todd was Sentenced to 12 years in prison And 16 months test, while Julie received seven years in prison and 16 months test. On January 17, 2023, the couple reported to prison and was not reunited until 28 months later, when President Trump granted them one pardon.

Todd recalled that on his first night in prison he was “angry” that he was away from his family.

“When the lights went out, I literally cried to sleep because it is the first time Julie and I have ever been away from each other since we had been married,” he said. “I had never been to that house when my kids woke up in the morning or when they went to bed at night.”

Todd said that while it was “difficult” to be away from his children in jail, “he could at least talk to them”, which he could not do with his wife for 28 months while he was locked up.

The couple described at the moment they could finally be reunited as “surreal.”

“I think for me, I was never away from her because she was in my spirit all the time. I thought of her every second on my day,” Todd said. “And so when I hugged her for the first time it was as if I were at home in my heart spiritually.”
