Tin. Woman injured in freak accident while swimming with dolphins in jamaica

A family in the Tennessee woman raises money to bring her back to the United States after she was injured in a freak accident while swam with dolphins in Jamaica this week.

Cierra Stockard told about the Dolphin meeting to ABC Affiliate Bang Thursday, March 20, and revealed that while she spent time with mammals during her spring trip just days earlier, she landed on one’s dorsal fin and was discontinued with a large hematoma. She was later taken to a local hospital in Montego Bay.

Her sister, Nevaeh Garton, wrote in a Gofundme Description that Stockard slid when the dolphin lifted her in the air on Monday 17 March. “Blunt Force Trauma” left his sister with a hematoma on the size “three apples.”

“It felt like I got into a car accident,” said Stockard, calling WKR from the hospital in Jamaica. “The power of it – it felt like boom! Something was just happening really badly.”

“I just had so much pain,” she added. “Tears just ran down the face.”

Stockard – who is still in Jamaica with a family – has been undergoing emergency surgery and two blood transfusions since the incident, because she has sigate cell disease, her sister wrote. She told WKRN that she was afraid that she would never see her two young children again.

“We need her home because this is just not a good circumstance,” told Stockard’s aunt, Kimberley Watkins, to the outlet. “This is just not a good situation.”

“We have tried to contact the embassy,” Watkins added. “Basically, they can only target us. I will not say they have not been helpful, but we have done things ourselves.”

According to Gofundme, Stockard has used “medication from home” to manage his segistry, but “cannot handle everything yourself.” She now demands another transfusion, even though her hospital does not have a compatible blood available.

Stockard is now out of his second operation, with her loved ones who tell WKRN that she is in a good mood. Still, as her sister wrote, “they just want her home to her children” and her insurance does not cover “international emergency travel” – as loved ones hope to be able to collect a total of $ 55,000 against expenses, including a medical flight.

“My family and I hate to see my sister in this state state considering where she is and the fear she has to not be able to come home to her children,” Garton wrote. “She lacks her daughters, cats, family and clients.”

“Thank you so much for help and prayers, we ask you to keep the prayers for her during this difficult time!”

So far Stockard’s family has collected more than $ 10,000 to get her to return to the United States in a Facebook update On Thursday, March 20, she wrote that she was “fresh of surgery” and thanked loved ones for their “prayers and support.”

“I just got back to the ward and got the blood clots away and some blood in my body. Thankfully! I still need two more devices but a bag is better than no one ❤ still no pain medication, so I literally lose this pain with a smile on my face,” she wrote. “2 operations without pain medicine … Make sure you tell my children that their mother is a gangsta 🥳 I hope this is a step closer to getting my butt back to Tennessee.”
