Given Tiktok’s rather rogue nature, it was probably inevitable that the congressional negotiation would lead to an attack by Memes.
The most popular template for jokes about the negotiation so far uses the caption “ME that shows Congress that data like China steals” in combination with a display of another Tiktok video.
The accompanying images usually show steaming fan edits of everything from hunger Games characters to The last of us Actor Pedro Pascal, who illustrates that much of the platform’s Gen-Z users spend their time on the Fangirling app more than anything.
With things to another extreme, some users even made fan edits of the negotiation itself and compiled clamps of chewing glowing under heavy fan editing filters in pairs with a sultry melody.

TikTok has enabled many users to focus on full -time content creation, which gives them an important sense of economic stability during uncertain times.
While most of their revenue comes from partnerships and other initiatives outside TikTok, the platform plays a crucial role in enabling such collaborations in the first place.
Megan Cruz, known as @jstoobs on Tiktok, called out the negotiation and the congressional ignorance of the platform’s reality.
“I am a fully grown adult in the 30s and I have never had financially independent before this app,” she said in a new video.
Concern for many creators who followed the testimony in parallel with many of the arguments presented during one rally held before the hearing.
Many influencers claim that TikTok has created an important sense of society, especially for marginalized groups, in addition to helping many find financial stability with new career opportunities.
