A Maryland -Man has been prohibited from flying with United Airlines after he was seen punching a grin day in the face in a viral video, according to the authorities.

The passenger was identified as Christopher Stuart Criten, 54, by Frederick, MD. He was arrested and accused of abuse and disorder. The agent that was attacked was taken to a local hospital by the airport authority’s fire and rescue department, where he received treatment. The authorities did not reveal his name.

The Union, which represents over 100,000 employees in the airline, noted that the staff is already under enormous pressure and would not have to “endure the constant threat of abuse and physical damage from steadfast passengers.”

“Despite the increase in violent incidents in recent years, there have been minimal legal repercussions to violate passengers,” continued IAM and later added, “As long as these violent incidents remain, IAM will not stop advocating for real enforcement of laws that protect the airlines’ employees.”
