The woman flees to English countryside to clear mind, find love instead (exclusively)

  • Megan, an American who lives in London, sought refuge in the English countryside after seeing her hometown in California being ravaged by the devastating fires from abroad
  • That which turned out to be a way to clear her mind from the heartbreaking reality turned into an unexpected love story between her and her Airbnb host’s son
  • She documented her love story in a viral tictoc, and now the couple is in a relationship

Megan’s latest story began when she searched for a mental break from looking at the devastating Eaton Fire in Pasadena, California, her hometown ravaged. Although he was physically distant – working in London at that time – the emotional toll was huge. Her workplace recognized her distress and encouraged her to take a break.

“I was not a big city girl,” Megan explains exclusively for people, “and when I want to charge and rejuvenate myself, I feel that I always want to go into nature and somewhere something more secluded.”

Megan finally chose an Airbnb in a countryside, which she was originally drawn by the host’s background as a therapist.

Upon arrival, Megan was greeted by the host’s son, who offered to drive her from the train station. Originally, she thought of the situation as something from a characteristic, but her guard was up.

During their drive, however, the two had a natural spoil, which made their interaction simple and fun. While he simply released her, he mentioned that everything she may need including dinner was a drive away – and he offered to help.

For starters, Megan declined, but as the evening approached, she became hungry without ways to get to the city. The host’s son offered once again to take her for dinner, which she accepted.

“I was like,” I don’t want to force “, but he was persistent,” Megan recalls. It was during this dinner that they began to open up for more vulnerable topics and find a deeper connection in their shared experiences and views of life.

“I tried to stay in the present and not get too tied,” says Megan. But as the night continued, their connection became stronger. After dinner, when they drove back to Airbnb, and he asked if he could kiss her and marked the beginning of their romantic journey.

A memorable moment came when they discovered their shared love for Chris Stapleton’s song “Start Over”, which was a coincidence that further tied them. They spend the rest of the weekend together, and despite her intentions about loneliness, Megan was looking forward to more time with him.

The Airbnb host supported their budding relationship, Yoo. Megan had originally planned to meet her to discuss Somatic body therapy, but after forming this immediate connection to her son, she was nervous about how the interaction would go.

But her mother’s warm answer made her calm – Megan reminds that she said: “” I don’t think any of us could have expected this ” – and she offered sweet feelings of support.

When it comes to Megan’s family, they were gently optimistic, after witnessing her through previous heart damage. They advised her to be careful but were supportive when they learned more about her new partner.

The following weekend, Megan returned to the countryside, this time not as an Airbnb guest. There she and her new Paramour spent their time deepening their connection and exploring the surrounding area.

Megan says: “We don’t need each other, but we want each other … None of us need the other to do all our lives all, but we are in the place where it is, we add value to each other.”

She continues, “I think it’s really just the reminder of how healthy love should feel. Healthy love should feel safe and it is worth waiting … We continue to strengthen our relationship and find out what our goals are like a couple and see where it takes us. ”
