A woman was arrested to claim to drown her dog in a bathroom at Orlando International Airport in December 2024, Wesh2The WFTV and Wfla Report.
Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, was arrested on Tuesday, March 18 for aggravated animal abuse, a third degree crime, according to an arrest record obtained by people.
The Orlando Police Department said that officers responded to Orlando International Airport on December 16, 2024, after receiving reports that an employee found a dead animal in women’s public toilet.
A spokesman for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (Goaa) told Wesh that a woman drowned her dog in a toilet before going through the security checkpoints. Wfla reports that Lawrence was trying to board the flight with her dog, but she did not have the right paperwork to allow the dog on the plane with her.
Lawrence was arrested after the police issued a commander for her arrest based on evidence from the incident.
She was arrested almost three months later and stored in Lake County. After her Tuesday arrest, she has since posted a bond of $ 5,000, according to the arrest record.
