Before a plane crashed off the San Diego coast Last month, all six killed on board, the pilot stated that he “fought” with the aircraft, according to officials.

A preliminary report released by the National Transportation Safety Board offered new insights in the last moments before the deadly crash on June 8.

The crash demanded the life of the pilot Landon Baldwin and his wife Torie Baldwin together with passengers Jeremy Bingham and his adult sons Ayden Bingham, Bailey Bingham and Gavin Bingham, according to Arizona Republic.

The day before the crash, the pilot and passengers flew from Phoenix to San Diego, the NTSB report stated and noted that they returned to Phoenix at the time of the deadly crash.

Shortly after starting in San Diego, the air traffic control instructed Landon, the pilot, to make a left turn. As it did it gradually, the plane climbed to about 2,000 feet before it made a “steep descent” to a height of 200 feet.

Controllers issued a low height warning and instructed the pilot to quickly climb to 4,000 feet.

“The controller then asked if he needed help and asked him about the nature of the problem,” the report said. In response, the pilot said he “fought” to maintain the aircraft on a heading and climbing.

When he told Landon that the nearest airport was a mile away, the control unit asked the pilot if he could see it. Landon said he could not and continued to make “a series of unpredicted maneuvers” before issuing Mayday calls.

In a statement obtained by people, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that the plane crashed into the Pacific near San Diego about 12:30 local time. The first FAA report says the plane crashed “under unknown circumstances.”

The NTSB report further stated that a police helicopter was about 10 miles east of the crash site at that time and when he arrived at the scene “located an oil lick about two miles offshore.”

Cessna’s regular pilot, who was also a friend of Landon, said he had flew 50 hours on the plane with his co -pilot – and that Landon “had expressed some nervousness around the lively Southern California airspace” before the trip.

But his friend said that the pilot “seemed to be skilled during their review of the San Diego discharge procedure,” the report says.
