A woman breaks down what to be a “girl girl” means to her – and to share a recent meeting that, in her opinion, went against everything the term stands for.

In a TikTok -Video, Cat Limket, which goes under the username @BigKittyenergyExplains that she had been looking for a specific pair of vintage cowboy boots with a heel for months. So when she saw a woman wearing a prominent outfit – and a pair of dazzling, Bedazzled boots – on Silver Lake Flea market in Los Angeles a few days ago, she decided to approach her and ask where they were from.

“I went up to her and was like, ‘Girl, your fit fits, you look amazing; I’ve been looking for boots just like that – where did you get them, and what brand are they?’ “The glue says in the video.

“She’s like,” my cowboy boots? “And I am,” Yes, “” Remember the glue in Tiktok. “” She’s like, “These boots?” And in my brain I think, no b —-, the boots on your hands. And she was like, “Oh, yes, they are cool, right?” ”

“‘Yes, so the thing with these boots, can’t really say,'” adds the glue, mimics the girl, who was also there with her boyfriend. “She’s like,” I know where I got them … It’s only I have told people before where I have got things because people always ask me because of my style, and I really really hate when I see other people in LA with the same things as me. “

At that moment, the glue was stunned.

“It was so bizarre and unexpected because I don’t know a single girl in my circle who would react in this way,” she says exclusively. “So at first I thought she might move with me. When I realized that she was dead seriously, I just thought it was such a ridiculous hill to die on – it just made me want to knit more and get the information.”

Eventually, the glue called out the girl and asked why she “wanted gates cowboy boots”, and pointed out that, statistically, unless the boots are one-of-a-kind, others already own them.

When the conversation went nowhere – and when she saw the woman and her boyfriend began to argue how she handled the situation – the glue eventually passed away. But before she left, she snapped a photo of the boots and planned to turn the picture to search them later.

“She told me to share where she got a pair of boots crossed a limit to her. Imagine how she reacts to a real crossed border,” the glue adds.

Later that day, the glue published about the meeting on TiktokAnd the video has since raised more than 7.3 million views and almost 21,000 comments from users discussing both sides.

“I don’t get gatekeeping – what someone asks for will look different on them than it does to you,” commented a person.

“Ugh, normalize not having to tell strangers everything about yourself. Gatekeeping is good,” wrote another.

Someone else chimped in, “Yes, we as humans need to move grass, because there is no way that gindekeeping boots are so serious.”

In a follow-up of the Tiktok video, which has since received 1.5 million views, the glue explains how she could trace the boots.

She discovered that they are Azalea Wang Beckett obsessed Suede Cowboy Bootswhich retail for $ 109. Eventually the brand was even enough to send a pair.

“After I posted the video, so many wonderful Tiktok girls came with suggestions for boots and brands,” says Limket. “I had connected the image I took off the boots to reverse Google image but wasn’t very lucky. So I started googling the brands that Tiktok girls had sent, and one that came up from a few people was Azalea Wang. I googled” Azalea Wang Rhinestone Cowboy Boots “and Boom.

“I think the girl – and the band between girls – is so important and strong and beautiful, and part of it is to share tips, clothes, recipes etc.,” she adds. “It goes back to the days of the witch, when women would share magic formulas and beauty tips. So when we see a girl who holds, it feels a lot of anti-Thirlshood,” she continues.

“We were completely blown away by the overwhelming answer online – and it is clear how many women want the authentic, girls’ energy,” says the Wang team exclusively and announces that “we are happy to support Cat as the face of our upcoming campaign, built around the idea that everyone deserves a place at the table.”

“That’s why we not only make Cat the face on the campaign, but also collaborate with her on her own custom boot,” adds the brand.
