A bride had to get creative when she needed to pee before her wedding ceremony.
Tara Mulroy got married in a wedding ceremony in Colorado Mountain on September 7, 2024. About 30 minutes before her ceremony started, she realized she needed to pee – bad. But there were big obstacles in the bride’s way. “The toilet was a bit of a hike”, plus her wedding dress was “definitely too big to get into a bathroom booth” and could not be taken by itself.
“So the bride, who was the funny and carefree person she is, decided to pop a squat instead and asked me to film it,” Mulroy’s wedding videographers, Josh and Mare KnightTell people. “We all cracked, and it turned into one of the most memorable moments of the day!”
Maid of Honor Jamie Dagg together with bridesmaids Emma Friedland, Kinley Jett, Nessa Fried, Josie Einsel and Wesley Cooper all came to Mulroy’s rescue. The bride’s best friends led her to a nearby bush and held up her adapted mermaid dress designed by Lauren Elaine as she looked. The “dramatic” dress had “an eight foot train and hundreds of meters tulle.”
Although the videos had never been asked to film a bridal sketch before, Mulroy’s bridal party did not seem surprised that she would do such a thing.
“They were not thrown by a bit – we are outdoor girls through and through!” Says Mulroy. “We spend our summers camping and rafting, and our winters snowboard or skiing, so when nature calls we are used to making it work in wild places.”
She continues, “This moment was definitely a little more complicated, given the hundreds of meters of tulle involved, but my girls were the ultimate team. No doubt – they each took part of the dress and held it above my head as a tent and giggled away with all the encouragement I could ask for a superpow
Mulroy says that pee on “the top of the mountain may have been the perfect location” after all.
Her “funny” bathroom solution has become viral on social media, as pictures of the situation were published by the videos twice on Tiktok. Knightens first published the video on the platform in 2024 and the total 13 million views. Most recently, they shared the clip on May 5 and it already has 200,000 views.

In the video, Mulroy laughs as she peek. Her poofy dress maintained her integrity. After completing her business, she turns to her bridesmaids and says, “Okay, I quit!” When she gets up, a woman asks her, “You want some TP (toilet paper) or are you good?” Mulroy replies: “I’m good. I think we make a small dripped dry situation.”
“The word was quickly spread with friends, all of whom came to me sometime to talk logistics,” Mulroy tells People. “I also had so many random people who sent it to me, the video on social media. Family and friends thought it was hysterical (that) 13 million people saw me fine my wedding dress on a mountain to pee! My friends and family were not surprised (I can be quite animated much of the time), but they were definitely entertained.”
“It ended up being one of my favorite stories from the day,” she adds.
