The boss is stubbled by his new rent constant “crying and disappears” at work

A manager is without ideas to help a new rent from “crying and disappearing” at work – and their staff department has been “helpful.”

The boss crowned the work at work Mumnetwhich describes her efforts to remedy the situation in the middle of the employee’s ongoing tearful behavior and request advice from readers of the British -based forum.

“That’s it. My new rent continues to cry. If we say she has done a good job, she cries. If her work is criticized or something slides … she cries,” the woman explained. “If she gets stressed or worried, she cries. She often goes away from the keyboard when she is overwhelmed for an hour.”

“I have tried to be supportive and find out what triggers it,” she continued. “She just seems to be worried about doing a bad job – but the thing is that 90% of the time she is not and we always say she is doing well.”

Without going in detail about their line of work to protect their identities, the manager noted that “our work is politically difficult and fast.”

“I don’t expect perfection … but I expect a certain level of resilience,” she emphasized. “But I don’t know what else I can do and crying and disappearance begins to cause serious problems at work.”

The employee’s “disappearance” moments, during which she is “completely unmatched” has caused workflow issues and her colleagues have had to go in to complete some of her work to keep things in motion, according to the manager.

“She’s lovely. Not work-lead. It’s not lazy,” she noted. “It makes it worse because it is unsustainable and if it was laziness I feel I would have more reason to pap (performance action plan) her.”

“But how in all world do you make someone whose whole question is a lack of trust and anxiety?! It will only make it worse, but I feel that I am out of alternatives,” said the manager, leaving that “HR (has) been more than unhelpful.”

The manager’s post on March 24 gathered quickly mixed answers.

On the one hand, the mumnet reader suggested that she fire the new rent, which has already been there for three months, while others encouraged the manager to continue to be kind when they calculate measures for her behavior.

“She is not” lovely “if she cries that everything goes,” replied a person. “Seriously, plunder her and get her replaced with someone who has less emotional luggage. Life is too short to pander to this kind of S — show.”

Mumnet -Users also suggested a milder approach and pointed out that the new rent may need to deal with her mental health outside work.

“I would also make an assessment of stress risk and refer to occupational health. It sounds like serious anxiety or depression or something else of a number of mental health can last,” wrote another reader. “Either way you need to clarify for her, she can’t just disappear for long periods.”
