Why is beer used for more than just drinking on Tiktok?
It seems that some will do something to get sun -eaten skin this summer, and thus a new trend is to make the rounds on the platform.
Tiktok users have claimed to use beer develops “The Best Tan Ever” and is a cheap and quick way to look more tan.
But experts describe “hacking” as purely dangerous, according to British tabloid The Sun.
Not only does the beer make your skin sticky and turns you into an insect magnet, it causes the risk of sun poisoning and skin cancer.
“I can hardly believe that this insanity exists,” said Kathryn Clifford, co -founder of the skin cancer consciousness organization Skin.
The trend has “potentially very serious consequences”, she warned.

Do beer actually makes you more bronze?
While the hops ingredient in beer is believed to increase the body’s production of melanin – what makes our skin darker – using only beer when out in the sun has serious consequences.
Sunbathing without putting proper skin protection against a harmful amount of UV rays can lead to skin cancer.
Skin cancer is “disproportionately high in young adults and one of the largest death cancer in the age group 15 to 34 – the same age group that uses this social platform more than anyone else,” added Clifford.
She suggested that the “malicious content” should be banned from TikTok to train its users about the dangers of sun exposure and raise health awareness.
Even if sunbathing in extreme moderation May be good for your mental health, experts urge to always carry sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30 or higher to protect against harmful rays from the sun.
These rays can also have serious consequences in addition to skin cancer, such as severe tan, painful skin damage and premature aging skin.
The experts agree: avoid beer when they stay in the sun.
