‘The Baby-Sitters Club’ gets a scenic adaptation

Baby-Sitter’s club is back for a musical new adventure.

On Thursday, September 15 announced that it has chosen the theatrical rights to the best -selling book series written by Ann M. Martin.

The upcoming production at full length will contain a book by Kate Wetherhead (The devil wears PradaConstantly after). Handling of music and lyrics is Mark Sonnen Light, which is known for his work at KPOP Demon HuntersThe The devil carries Prada, lively away and Theater camp.

An exclusive industry presentation is scheduled to take place on November 13 in New York City, with producers who see a theater premiere in the spring of 2027.

According to a press release, the musical takes up 12 years after the resolution of the Baby-Sitter’s Club. The musical finds the founding members, Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia and Stacey, who return to Stoneybrook, Connecticut, to honor the pact as their 13-year-old I did to reunite.

“Now twenty -five, the young women realize during the show that the reunion not only provides an opportunity to go through defining moments of their past, but to answer critical questions that have arisen in their current life: questions about identity, career, relationships and fulfillment,” explains the press release.

Martin shared his excitement for the upcoming theater production in a press release and noted that “it’s hard to believe that it has been almost four decades since the first Baby-Sitter’s Club book, Kristy’s fantastic ideawas published. ”
