Teyana Taylor says her priorities shifted after having children

Teyana Taylor Admits that motherhood helped her put her life into perspective.

The singer and actress, 34, were interviewed for Instyle’s The latest cover story and talked about how welcoming her second daughter Rue Rose, now 4, made her consider her priorities. When she talked about her pension in December 2020 from music, Taylor explained that having two children made her feel that she now had two examples to cancel.

“My grind is different, my life is different. As if I do not play with you, my tolerance is different, what I am willing to take and not willing to take – do you get what I say?” SA Taylor. “Motherhood is what made me start to pour more into the other things I love to do and also to help other people.”

She went on to explain that she decided to switch from music to spectacle and put all her efforts to build that aspect of her career.

Earlier this month, Taylor posed with her daughters in a rare excursion When you visited the Siriusxm studio in New York City.

Taylor wore a completely black outfit, complete with leather pants, a clean top and black glasses. Her daughters matched her relaxed appearance, with Junie wearing a graphic t-shirt of her mother’s upcoming album, Escape room, Denim shorts and black and white sneakers. Rue bar in a purple shirt, white pants and pink and white sneakers.

Talk to people about their daughters at the Daily Front Row Fashion La Awards in Los Angeles last April, reflected the multihypenate on how fast time has passed by And how big her daughters get. “Infants are good. To grow up,” she said at that time.

She also added that Rue really started chatting her. “My youngest talks too much,” joked Taylor. “I can’t believe she’s a talking two. She’s a talking two, surely!”

The singer Divorce from Shumpert in January 2023 but waited approximately nine months at Notify the couple’s separation. On Instagram, Taylor said that she and Shumpert would remain “best friends” and successfully co -ordinating their two daughters.

“Most important of all, we are family and for 10 years together, 7 years, we married that we have never played or about it,” she said.
