The Rockwall County Criminal District Attorney’s Office submitted charges against Sorrells in September 2024, but prison posts show that she was not taken into custody by Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office until February 2025.

The church where Sorrell voluntarily also released a statement after her arrest and said: “Although it is our current understanding that no inappropriate activity occurred in the church’s premises, at any church event, and that the minor was not under the direct leadership for voluntary voluntary, we immediately informed it from the volunteer. her volunteers ”

A lawyer for Sorrells did not respond to a request for comment.
