Texas High School student deadly by another during the track meeting, police say

A 17-year-old high school students became a knife-headed to death during a race in Frisco, Texas.

CBS news and Fox 4 News identified the victim as Austin Metcalf.

A press release From the Frisco Police Department confirmed that the incident took place at 10th on Wednesday, April 2 at Kuykendall Stadium. FPD said the change occurred between Metcalf and another student, resulting in the deadly knife knitting.

Metcalf was initially taken to a local hospital, but later caused during its injuries. He was a student at Frisco’s Memorial High School, where he ran and played football. His father, Jeff Metcalf, spoke to Fox 4 about the loss of his son.

“He would prove to be a great individual and affects this world with positivity,” Jeff said. “I was so proud.”

Jeff also sent condolences to the suspected family.

“I feel (the suspect) family for now their son will end up in jail and learn that he killed someone, and he destroyed and killed my son that I can never come back. It is unfortunate for everyone involved,” he said.

The police have identified Karmelo Anthony, 17, as the main suspect in the knife knitting. Anthony is in police repository and has been accused of murder. Anthony attends Frisco Centennial High School, in the same district as Metcalf – Frisco Independent School District (ISD).

A wake will be held in Metcalf’s honor. The event, intended to offer space for the student’s solidarity, will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at Hope Fellowship Church in Frisco. CBS news Confirmed that Metcalf was a member of the church.
