Teddi Mellencamp Is ready for the next step in her recovery after removing four brain tumors.

In the post, Mellencamp smiled up at the camera as he settles. Her hair, which was shaved down to a buzz for her surgery, seemed to be much darker than her usual blonde.

“In recent weeks I have handled serious and debilitating headaches,” she explained in A February Instagram post. “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospital stay. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found several tumors in my brain, which they believe has grown for at least 6 months. ”
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today. The remaining minor tumors will be handled through radiation at a later date, she continued. “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who do everything to get me back to better health.”
The doctors ended up removing twice as many tumors.

“I am so grateful to the incredible surgeons, doctors and nurses who made my surgery a success and my recovery process comfortable,” she wrote in one of her social media posts from the day. “In full transparency, more tumors were removed than expected: 4 in total. This struggle is not over, but that round has won. ”
Podcaster thanked their loved ones for their “laughter, support and patience”, later and added, “When I move on to the next step in my treatment I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the end of love and prayers. I see them, and they definitely help me keep me strong.”
